A coaching is not a workshop. You set the topic, I give it structure. It's not about ticking off a fixed curriculum, but about exactly the points where you are right now — be it a specific lighting technique, a question about contracts, a gap in your portfolio, or how to get a foot in the door with agencies.
Coachings take place one to one or in small groups. You can bring your own models, make-up artists or equipment, or I'll organise whatever you need.
The images that come out of it are part of the result: you may use them for your website, your portfolio and social media — but not commercially.
Coaching is available for photographers and for models — the possible focal points differ; the lists below give you an overview. Your topic isn't there? Write to me anyway — the lists are a sample, not a catalogue.
Coaching for photographers — possible focal points
- Technique: equipment, flash and studio light, lighting setups.
- Composition: framing, the idea behind the image, impact.
- New genres: finding your way into a discipline you are not yet at home in.
- Shoot planning: concept, casting, logistics.
- Collaboration: how to find, brief and direct models and make-up artists.
- The business side: contracts, fees, building a website and social media.
Coaching for models — possible focal points
- Posing: moving in front of the camera, directing your gaze, tipping an image with small adjustments.
- Preparation: outfit, make-up, what to have in mind on the day of the shoot.
- Approaching photographers: what matters in that first email, how to communicate professionally.
- Agencies: how to present yourself, what sedcards and polas need to do, what kind of response to expect.
- Building a portfolio: which images you need and when, what closes the gaps.
- The business side: contracts, fees, usage rights.
What it costs
Tailored to scope and duration. Write to me in a few sentences about where you are right now, and I'll get back to you with a suggestion for how we tackle it.
